Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class A Lineman to support construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems. This role involves working at diverse locations and may require travel to other states based on customer needs.

Applicants should have extensive field experience, strong English communication, and the ability to lift heavy loads and work safely at heights around energized lines. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent field experience.
• Strong English reading and communication.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Willing to work weekends/holidays/overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Strings overhead wire.
• Set poles and anchors.
• Install transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Troubleshoots primary and secondary systems.
• Work with energized high voltage lines safely.
• Lead crew in foreman’s absence.
• Inspect PPE and equipment and maintain it in good order.
• Travel to different locations as required by customer demands.
