Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a skilled Class A Lineman to perform construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems across various locations. Travel to additional states may be required to meet customer demands.

The role involves leading crew members in the foreman’s absence, stringing overhead wire, setting poles, installing transformers and other equipment, and troubleshooting primary and secondary systems.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members in the absence of the Foreman.
• Strings overhead wire and sets poles and anchors.
• Installs transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Troubleshoots primary and secondary systems and clears faults.
• Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.
• Must be able to climb different structures and use required tools.
• Willing to work live high voltage distribution lines and glove work.
