Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class B Lineman - Overhead to perform construction, maintenance and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems at various locations with potential state-to-state travel. The role requires climbing, safe operation of high voltage equipment and adherence to PPE and safety procedures.

Applicants should have at least 5 years of field experience, English fluency, and the ability to obtain a CDL permit within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems.
• Strings overhead wire; sets poles and anchors.
• Installs transformers, switches and related equipment.
• Troubleshoots primary and secondary systems.
• Works at heights and in inclement weather with proper PPE.
