Job summary

Primoris T&D is seeking Overhead Lineman Apprentices Levels 1–8 to join our Port Richey, FL team. You will assist experienced crews with constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead electrical distribution lines, progressing through an apprenticeship program based on training and demonstrated skills.

Responsibilities include helping set poles, framing, installing crossarms and equipment, performing groundwork, and supporting line crews. CDL A and a willingness to travel are valuable.

Qualifications

• Prior overhead electrical distribution or utility construction experience preferred.
• Must be willing to progress through apprenticeship program and learn the overhead line trade.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights.
• Must be comfortable outdoors in varying weather and conditions.
• Must have valid driver’s license; CDL A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution lines.
• Assist linemen with setting poles, framing, crossarms, insulators, conductors, and transformers.
• Perform groundwork and provide support to line crews; load/unload materials.
• Operate hand and power tools; assist with pulling and installing overhead conductor.
• Follow safety requirements and participate in training and meetings.
