Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC in Port Richey, FL is seeking Overhead Lineman Apprentices Levels 1–8 to join our field team. You will assist experienced line crews with construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical distribution systems while progressing through an apprenticeship.

Ideal candidates have some experience, are physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, and are willing to travel or work extended hours.

Qualifications

• Previous overhead electrical distribution or utility construction experience preferred; experience requirements will vary.
• Ability to progress through an apprenticeship program and learn the overhead line trade.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL A license required.
• Willingness to travel or work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and emergency assignments.
• Meet safety and employment requirements.
• Preferred: overhead distribution construction or maintenance experience.
• Preferred: utility or power-line apprenticeship training.
• Pole climbing and basic rigging experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical distribution lines.
• Assist linemen with setting poles, framing poles, installing crossarms, insulators, conductors, transformers, and equipment.
• Perform groundwork and support line crews in daily operations.
• Assist with pulling, sagging, and installing overhead conductor.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in construction.
• Follow climbing, rigging, grounding, and safety procedures.
• Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment.
• Set up, clean up, and perform traffic-control duties as needed.
• Work from ground and elevated heights as training permits.

Job Overview:Primoris T&D is seeking Overhead Lineman Apprentices Levels 1–8 to join our team in the Port Richey, FL area. This position assists experienced line crews with the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical distribution systems.
