Pike Corporation in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Groundman to support overhead distribution work. You will assist crews in building, repairing and maintaining power lines and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

This entry-level role requires physical stamina, willingness to travel, and availability for on-call outages. Training to CDL within 60 days is provided; the company offers a safety-first culture and opportunities to grow within a national utility contractor.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends/holidays/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews in constructing, repairing and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Help install/repair power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions; safety first.
• Available for outages, storms, and on-call rotations.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and insulated protective gear.
• Inspect PPE and determine proper usage to ensure safety.
