Job summary

PIKE is seeking a Groundman to start a rewarding career in constructing and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew under the Foreman, performing hands-on tasks and supporting field operations in outdoor environments.

This position requires physical stamina, strict safety adherence, willingness to travel for outages and emergencies, and flexibility for overtime. You’ll operate tools, inspect PPE, and assist with maintaining vehicles and gear.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous outdoor work.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Assist crew in installing and repairing power lines, poles and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and participate in on-call rotations.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and signals for communication.
