Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is hiring a Project Manager - Overhead Distribution to lead electric distribution projects across the Denver metropolitan area.

You will own safety, customer relationships, schedule, and financial performance while coordinating with field leadership and engineering partners. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years of project management experience in overhead distribution or utility programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of project management or related construction experience.
• Experience managing overhead electric distribution construction projects or utility programs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, schedules, and engineering documentation.
• Experience with contract administration, change management, estimating, constructability reviews, and project pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead overhead distribution construction projects and utility programs from award through final closeout.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, contracts, procurement, change management, and overall financial performance.
• Serve as primary customer-facing representative and maintain proactive communication with utility stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities among utility customers, field leadership, engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Develop project execution plans, staffing strategies, procurement plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions for safety, schedule, quality, productivity, or financials.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with requirements.
