Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Overhead Distribution to lead electric utility construction projects across the Denver metropolitan area.

You will own safety, customer relationships, schedule, and profitability while coordinating with field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Applicants should have 5+ years of project management experience in overhead distribution or related utility programs, plus a strong grasp of budgets, risks, and execution planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management or related construction experience.
• Experience managing overhead electric distribution construction projects or utility programs.
• Experience coordinating multiple crews, field leaders, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and concurrent work fronts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management platforms (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore).

Responsibilities

• Lead overhead distribution construction projects and utility programs from contract award through final closeout.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, contracts, procurement activities, change management, and overall financial performance.
• Serve as a primary customer-facing representative and maintain proactive communication with utility stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities among utility customers, Construction Managers, field leadership, engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Develop project execution plans, staffing strategies, resource requirements, procurement plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field
