Job summary

XKIG is seeking an experienced Overhead Foreman to lead crews in the construction and maintenance of electrical overhead distribution systems. Based in Kettering, MD, you will work at multiple sites and may travel to another state as needed.

This is a full-time, on-site position with a four 10-hour day schedule. You will install poles, transformers, crossarms, and switches; troubleshoot primary and secondary systems; enforce safety rules; and supervise equipment, PPE, and crew performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of recent field experience.
• Willing to travel to multiple locations as needed.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
• Willingness to overtime and work with live high voltage lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members in the absence of the Foreman.
• Set poles and anchors.
• Install transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools in good condition.
