Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Distribution Overhead Foreperson in Upper Marlboro, MD to lead a crew in the construction and maintenance of electrical overhead distribution systems. You will work across locations and may travel to support customer demands.

The role requires at least 5 years as a journey-level lineman, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel. You will supervise, mentor, and coach teams, perform hot stick work, and ensure safety and compliance on energized

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journey-level lineman engaged in distribution electrical systems.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel and work in multiple locations.
Lift more than 50 lbs.
Willing to work overtime when requested.

Responsibilities

Work safely while performing construction or maintenance on energized and de-energized overhead lines.
Manage crew members and mentor less experienced employees.
Lead and teach hot stick work on energized lines.
Conduct pre-job or tailgate briefings.
Set poles and anchors; install transformers, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
Troubleshoot problems and manage faults in primary and secondary systems.
Operate and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
