Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Lineperson Class B to install and maintain overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables and transformers. The role involves climbing, operating heavy equipment, and traveling for emergency storm work.

The position requires hands-on experience, adherence to safety and health rules, and the ability to troubleshoot energized and de-energized circuits. A CDL is preferred and out-of-state travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in the electrical power line construction industry.
• Ability to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and other certifications obtained during career.
• Must be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.

Responsibilities

• Setting poles and anchors; stringing overhead wire.
• Installing transformers, lightning arresters, cutouts, cross arms insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work on energized and de-energized overhead lines while following safety rules.
• Troubleshooting issues with primary and secondary systems.
• Replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits and systems.
• Daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Report injuries and safety concerns to Foreperson.
• All other duties related to overhead power supply installation.
