Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Working Foreperson to supervise and coordinate a crew on overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles and electrical components. The role focuses on installation, repair, safety, and compliance in field operations.

The position requires 5+ years in electrical power line construction, with willingness to travel for storm work. CDL within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience working with energized high voltage systems.
• Ability to identify, operate and service required tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assists crew with all parts of the electrical system.
• Obtains daily job descriptions and follows up with General Foreperson.
• Ensures daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment.
• Resolves unidentified job-site issues.
• Enforces safety program at field level for employees.
• Ensures employees are trained and qualified for work.
• Ensures employees understand safety rules for assigned work.
• Conducts safety briefings and field inspections.
• Investigates incidents and near misses.
• Reports injuries and incidents to supervision immediately.
• Performs duties related to installation of Overhead Power Supply.
