Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks an Overhead Distribution Apprentice Lineperson to assist with overhead distribution line construction and maintenance. The role involves working safely on job sites, communicating with property owners, and supporting line personnel with installations.

The position requires at least 1 year of trade experience or formal training, a valid driver's license, and a DOT medical card within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of trade experience or formal training.
• DOT medical card required within 90 days of employment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Valid commercial driver's license preferred within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Assists with assembling material and works from the ground to be installed by lineperson and assists with the installation.
• Climb wooden poles to help perform duties.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Communicates work to be performed to property owners.
• Follows regional safety guidelines and adheres to safety policies.
• Operates tools such as digging devices, wrenches, hammers, drills, come-alongs, and jack hammers.
• Works around energized parts or equipment with proper protection.
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisors.
