Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a qualified Overhead Distribution Groundperson in Jacksonville, AR. The role supports installation, maintenance, and repair of energized and de-energized overhead lines, working from ground level and coordinating with linepersons and apprentices.

Ideal candidates will be able to operate required tools, travel for emergency storm work, and commit to overtime as needed. A valid driver’s license and CDL readiness within 90 days are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead line work following company established Safety and Health standards and from the ground.
• Assembles material on the ground to be installed by the lineperson or apprentice.
• Ability to problem solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
• Maintain company equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to professionally communicate work to be performed.
• Operates various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-alongs, jack hammer and hand-line etc.).
• All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
• Reports all potential equipment and crew safety hazards to Foreperson
