Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Service Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric cranes and hoists at customer sites across the United States.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, provide on-call support, document findings, and stay current with industry safety codes. A High School Diploma is required; an associate degree or technical training is preferred. Valid driver’s license and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred or related technical training.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair experience.
• Prior crane experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer sites.
• Provide on-call service as part of a rotation, including after-hours support.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site.
• Complete post-repair audits to verify safety features are functioning.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions with customer signoff.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety issues and advise on improvements.
• Produce electronic documentation using company tools and obtain customer signatures.
• Stay updated on OSHA/ANSI/CMAA/HMI codes and regulations.
• Complete service reports and other required documents promptly.
• Communicate with Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator per protocol.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and assets in good condition.
• Operate tools and vehicles, reporting deficiencies.
• Follow safety rules and participate in monthly safety meetings.
