Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Service Technician to join our field service team across the United States. You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer sites while upholding safety-first practices and OSHA/ANSI standards.

The role requires electrical and mechanical expertise, the ability to work at heights, travel, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair experience.
• Must be able to travel and work off the ground; on-call rotation availability.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer sites.
• Provide on-call service as part of a rotation, including after-hours.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions to customers.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety issues; suggest improvements for material handling.
• Produce electronic service documentation with customer signatures.
• Stay updated on OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, and HMI codes and regulations.
• Complete service reports and other required documents.
• Communicate with Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator.
• Maintain company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets.
• Operate tools; report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules; participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
