Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL‑A truck driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer combinations. The role requires safety inspections, proper documentation, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Candidates must possess a CDL-A with hazmat and tank endorsements, be able to pass MVR/DOT checks, and perform physically demanding loading/unloading and long periods of driving, including overnight stays in some schedules.

Qualifications

• CDL-A with hazmat and/or tank endorsements.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform daily pre-trip inspections and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to hook/unhook trailers and perform some lifting.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and comply with regulations.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
