Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks a CDL-A tractor-trailer driver to haul trailers between service centers and turn-point locations. You will drive long distances and ensure safety, compliance, and on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, hitching/unhitching, logging, and dispatch communication. Hazmat and tank endorsements are required, with eligibility for LC V qualifications in certain states. $0.7162/mile linehaul and $31.26/hour non-linehaul posted.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements. Automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• 1 year experience within most recent 3 years, or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT FMC regulations under 391.
• LCV operation in AZ, CO, FL, ID, IN, KS, MT, ND, NV, OH, OK, OR, SD and UT. LCV drivers must meet minimum standards.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hook/unhook and lift trailers up to ~100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Communicate delays or issues with dispatch.
