Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a CDL A driver to pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer combos.

Job responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, completing reports, and maintaining logs. HazMat and Tank endorsements are required; automatic transmission allowed. ADR/LCV states may apply in certain regions; equality of opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year driving experience within last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR.
• Must meet DOT 391 FMC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip/safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain logs and complete required documentation.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload freight as required.
