  • Prepare loads by alloy type and size; coordinate with others and load ovens with correct recipes.

  • Assist with basic oven maintenance and report deviations to minimize downtime.
  • Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work environment; meet daily success indicators.

Oven Operator Division: Weir ESCO Location: Newton, Ms. Shift: 2nd, 12:00pm to 10:15pm – Monday to Thursday

What you’ll do
  • Oven Operation and Monitoring: Operate and monitor industrial ovens used for heat treating castings, ensuring all ovens are at required temperatures at shift start and maintaining those temperatures throughout the shift.
  • Load Preparation and Coordination: Prepare oven loads by organizing castings according to alloy type and section size, coordinate with other operators on load sequencing, and charge ovens with the correct recipes.
  • Record Keeping and Quality Control: Maintain accurate heat treat records including alloy type, load details, time in oven, and visual inspection of castings to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintenance Support: Assist with basic oven maintenance and report any deviations such as temperature drops or unexpected shutdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
  • *Daily Success Indicators: Consistently follow heat treat processes, maintain oven parameters within specifications, demonstrate progressive learning and autonomy, and contribute to a safe work environment.

What you’ll bring
  • Must-haves: High School Diploma or GED.
