Job summary

Weir ESCO in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Team Member- Material Handler to support onsite distribution and service operations. The role involves loading/unloading, parts picking, inventory checks, and data entry to ensure accurate records.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift operation experience, and familiarity with SAP. OT opportunities exist; first shift operates 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with full-time permanent status.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and daily checks to maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain safety-minded approach and adhere to safety protocols.

Location: Salt Lake City, UT


Work Arrangement: Onsite


Shift: 1st Shift 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday) Full- Time, permanent Overtime available, evenings & weekends.

What you’ll do


  • Material Handling: Load and unload trucks both inside and outside using pallet jacks, powered industrial trucks, and a small overhead jib crane to relocate parts for client shipment.

  • Parts Picking and Staging: Accurately locate and pull parts of various sizes and materials to fill production and service orders, supporting shop staging and assisting team members with loading/unloading trucks.

  • Inventory Management: Perform inventory cycle counts, stock checks, and daily checklist activities to maintain accurate inventory records and support stock control.

  • Communication and Safety: Maintain good communication with team members and demonstrate a safety-minded approach, adhering to all safety protocols and training.

  • Administrative Duties: Accurately complete all paperwork and data entry functions associated with receiving and material handling procedures.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.


What you’ll bring

Must-haves:


  • Highschool/ GED required

  • Forklift and powered industrial truck operation experience

  • Strong time management and communication skills

  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems preferred


Nice-to-haves:


  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment

  • Safety training and a strong safety mindset

  • Self-driven with excellent organizational skills

  • Attention to detail in inventory and parts handling

  • Experience using overhead jib cranes
