Job summary

Childers Auto & Truck Parts is seeking an energetic heavy-duty truck parts salesperson to grow our fleet and dealer channels. You will sell brakes, suspension, driveline, engine, and electrical components to trucking companies, repair shops, and municipalities, while building long-term relationships.

You will call on existing customers, prospect for new business, and coordinate with inside sales and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy-duty truck parts sales or related fleet maintenance is preferred.
• Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills are essential.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally are required.

This role involves selling replacement parts, fleet maintenance solutions, and related products to trucking companies, repair shops, dealerships, municipalities, and construction or agricultural fleets.

• Building and maintaining relationships with fleet managers and repair shops.
• Calling on existing customers and prospecting for new business.
• Selling heavy-duty truck parts such as brakes, suspension, driveline, engine, transmission, cooling, and electrical components.
• Preparing quotes and following up on sales opportunities.
• Coordinating with inside sales and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Meeting sales and revenue targets.
• Staying knowledgeable about truck models, aftermarket parts, and industry trends.

Common employers include:

• Heavy-duty truck dealerships (e.g., Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, International).
• National aftermarket distributors.
• Independent truck parts distributors.
• Fleet maintenance suppliers.

Desired qualifications often include:

Compensation typically consists of:

• Weekly draw $1000 per week, pay is 16% gross profit.
