Boutique Recruiting is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build relationships with small business owners across Southern California, driving energy-upgrade programs and rebates. The role blends field prospecting, consultative selling, territory development, and proactive follow-up, with autonomy over daily management.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, excels in cold outreach, and can work independently with travel across the territory.

Position Title: Outside Sales Representative

Turn your door-to-door sales experience into a career with serious earning potential and a product businesses actually want. We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to develop relationships with small business owners throughout Southern California and help them take advantage of clean energy upgrade and rebate programs. This role combines field prospecting, consultative sales, territory development, and proposal follow-up, with significant autonomy over how you manage your day.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, resilient sales professional who thrives in the field, knows how to create opportunities from cold outreach, and is comfortable working independently without constant supervision.

Salary Range:

$35/hour + commission

Responsibilities

• Prospect small commercial businesses through door-to-door outreach, territory canvassing, and relationship building
• Educate business owners on available energy-efficiency programs, rebates, and electric water heater upgrades
• Identify qualified opportunities, gather necessary information and photos, and coordinate with internal teams to determine project viability
• Develop and deliver proposals to prospective customers and guide opportunities through the sales process
• Build relationships within assigned territories through Chambers of Commerce, local organizations, and other community-based marketing efforts
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and internal teams while accurately tracking activity through CRM and prospecting platforms
• Spend approximately four days per week in the field, balancing prospecting with remote administrative work, proposals, and follow-up

Requirements

• 1+ year of sales experience, ideally in door-to-door, field, solar or other high-volume prospecting environments
• Proven ability to initiate conversations, build rapport quickly, and generate opportunities through cold outreach
• Self-directed work style with the discipline to independently manage a territory and sales pipeline
• Comfortable using CRM systems, prospecting technology, and other digital sales tools
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to travel regularly throughout an assigned Southern California territory
• Strong communication, follow-through, and relationship-building skills
