PIRTEK Midland–Odessa is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base across the Permian Basin by selling our 24/7/365 mobile on-site hydraulic and industrial hose maintenance and replacement services, as well as a broad line of hose, fittings, and adapters.

This role focuses on new account development and wallet-share growth with fleet, industrial, and field-based operations where unplanned downtime from hose failures is expensive and disruptive.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of successful sales experience in industrial/MRO/oilfield contexts.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic hoses or mechanical aptitude to learn quickly.
• Proven hunter mentality with field-facing customer engagement and target achievement.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with shop managers, supervisors, and procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, and close new business with construction, oilfield, trucking, mining, and agriculture customers.
• Promote 24/7/365 mobile on-site hose service with 1-hour ETA to reduce downtime.
• Conduct regular visits and plant walk-throughs to identify maintenance and emergency service opportunities.
• Present PIRTEK’s full product line, including hydraulic hoses, fittings, and adapters.
• Educate customers on preventative maintenance to reduce failures and environmental risks.
• Collaborate with operations and mobile technicians to ensure seamless service from quote to completion.
• Track pipeline activity, quotes, and closed business within the territory.
• Represent PIRTEK at industry events and toolbox talks to build brand awareness.

PIRTEK Midland–Odessa is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base across the Permian Basin by selling our 24/7/365 mobile on-site hydraulic and industrial hose maintenance and replacement services, as well as a broad line of hose, fittings, and adapters. This role focuses on new account development and wallet-share growth with fleet, industrial, and field-based operations where unplanned downtime from hose failures is expensive and disruptive.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, and close new business with companies in construction, oil and gas, trucking/transport, mining, recycling, manufacturing, and agriculture that rely on hydraulic and industrial hoses.
• Promote PIRTEK’s 24/7/365 mobile on-site hose service with 1‑hour ETA as the fastest way to reduce downtime from hose failures.
• Conduct regular visits, and plant walk-throughs to identify equipment using hydraulic and industrial hoses and uncover preventative maintenance and emergency service opportunities.
• Present PIRTEK’s full product offering, including medium to ultra-high-pressure hydraulic hoses, industrial hoses (aggregate, chemical, air, etc.), D.O.T. air brake hoses, fittings, and one of the industry’s most extensive adapter catalogs.
• Educate customers on preventative maintenance programs that reduce catastrophic hose failures, spills, and safety/environmental risks.
• Work closely with the operations team and mobile service technicians to ensure a seamless customer experience from quote to on-site service completion.
• Track and report on pipeline activity, call frequency, quotes, and closed business within the assigned territory.
• Represent PIRTEK professionally at industry events, safety meetings, and toolbox talks to build brand awareness and trust.

Ideal Customer Targets (for the rep)

• Heavy construction and earthmoving contractors using excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, and other hydraulic equipment.
• Oilfield service companies, drilling and completion contractors, and midstream operators with hose-intensive equipment and high downtime costs.
• Trucking and logistics fleets that need robust hydraulic and industrial hoses plus D.O.T. air brake hoses and fittings.
• Recycling, waste, and compactor operations, as well as manufacturing plants, mining operations, and large farms requiring fast, reliable hose service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in industrial, MRO, oilfield services, construction equipment, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, hoses, or industrial equipment is strongly preferred, or the mechanical aptitude to learn quickly.
• Proven track record of hunting for new business, meeting face-to-face with customers in the field, and hitting sales targets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with field supervisors, mechanics, shop managers, and procurement teams.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; comfortable spending most of the day in the field visiting customer sites.

Compensation And Benefits

• Base salary plus commission structure tied to new account wins, revenue growth, and margin, aligned with outside industrial sales roles.
• Vehicle allowance or company vehicle, fuel card, and cell phone allowance.
• Paid time off, holidays, and potential performance bonuses based on territory growth and key account development.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
