Job summary

Staff Zone, a national leader in construction staffing, seeks an Outside Sales Representative to expand our presence in the Norfolk market. You will sell skilled labor, general labor, and payroll solutions to contractors and managers on job sites and sites offices.

The role pays a $60,000 base with up to 35% commission; bonuses are paid monthly. After training, you’ll work from home and manage a growing book of business across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in staffing, construction, or trades sales is a plus, not required.
• Willingness to be on a construction site or visit GC trailers.
• Grit, hustle, and love for face-to-face relationship building.
• Organized, proactive, and motivated by commission.
• Basic tech skills (CRM, email, texting platforms).

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and building relationships with GCs, subcontractors, and superintendents.
• Meeting clients face-to-face at job sites and offices.
• Consistently closing new business and expanding current accounts.
• Partnering with operations team to ensure job site coverage and client satisfaction.
• Managing a book of business and growing territory; days start and end from home.
• Networking events: golf tournaments, clay shoots, lunch & learns, etc.

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - CONSTRUCTION STAFFING SOLUTIONS

If you know how to build relationships in construction and you’re not afraid to chase business, we want to talk! Or if you think the construction industry would offer a fun and exciting career, we’d love to train you.

We’re hiring a charismatic sales representative to grow our presence in the market and to help "Construct Lives" within our community. You’ll be selling skilled labor, general labor, and payroll solutions to contractors who need reliable people. In other words, you’re selling a service people are already familiar with and NEED.

$60,000 base salary plus up to 35% bonus/commission opportunity. Bonuses are paid monthly.

Work Schedule - 7:00am-4:00pm M-F

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prospecting and building relationships with GCs, subcontractors, and superintendents
• Meeting clients face-to-face at job sites and offices
• Consistently closing new business and expanding current accounts
• Partnering with your operations team to ensure job site coverage and client satisfaction
• Managing a book of business and growing your territory: once fully trained, you'll start your days from home and end your days at home!
• Networking Events: Think golf tournaments, clay shoots, lunch & learns, etc.
