Roberts Oxygen in Johnstown, PA, seeks an Outside Sales Representative to join our team. You will drive growth for industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment from the Johnstown area.

Lead end-to-end sales processes, deliver product demonstrations, and build enduring customer relationships to support company expansion. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 2 years of outside sales experience in the gases/welding sector highly valued. Excellent pay and benefits offered.

Roberts Oxygen, a trusted name in industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, is looking for a dedicated Outside Sales Representative to join our Johnstown, PA team.

Your passion is selling and you have general knowledge of liquid and compressed gas, welding products and hardgoods with at least two years of outside sales experience. You are a sales leader who cultivates and fosters long-term, positive, customer relationships to increase overall market share and company sales, contributing to the growth of the Company’s financial goals. Your proven experience includes delivery of sales presentations, customer product demonstrations, quotes, and closing service agreements for existing and new customers. You provide excellent customer service by matching capabilities to support and achieve customer needs.

Skills and experience requirements

• Successfully contribute to the Company’s growth and financial goals through territory sales
• Increase visibility of company capabilities, products, and services
• Create and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, customer quotes, and service agreements
• Understand customer needs to develop appropriate recommendations for products and services
• Contract negotiations
• Understanding of compressed and liquid gases
• Track and report financial and sales activities
• Establish pricing based on profitability analysis for specific products and services
• Address and resolve customer questions and inquiries
• Have a sense of urgency and provide excellent customer service
• Positively represents the Company and proactively maintain customer relations
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years of sales experience; industrial gases and welding industry preferred
• Strong computer skills and usage of Microsoft Office products to include Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and use of internet
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of lifting at least 75 pounds
• Willingness to assist other departments within the Company
• Excellent driving record and if selected, ability to pass pre-employment screenings
