Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts in Gap, PA is seeking a results-driven sales professional to drive growth of company-owned stores, expand the customer base, and increase profits across the NAPA product line.

You will promote the full range to wholesale customers, develop local plans with the Store Manager, identify customer needs, and present solutions while delivering excellent service and education through seminars and events.

Qualifications

• Retail or outside sales experience required.
• 2+ years in a customer-focused role.
• Ability to perform in a quota-driven environment.
• Strong selling skills including sales-call prep and account maintenance.
• Capability to present information in group meetings.
• Valid driver's license with minimal violations in the last 4 years.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand/walk for shifts.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; automotive industry background preferred.

• Work with the local Store Manager to develop plans to increase sales and proactively initiate, contact, manage, and develop local leads
• Identify customer needs and align solutions with NAPA offerings
• Work with manufacturer's representatives to improve program offerings and grow customer knowledge of product lines
• Engage customers through NAPA eSales programs
• Perform educational seminars, clinics, and presentations on NAPA product lines and services
• Maintain customer satisfaction and provide customer service, including resolving customer problems, complaints, and questions in person or by telephone
• Set expectations, meet commitments, track results, and manage accountability
• Inspect, protect, and maintain company assets, merchandise, vehicles, buildings, and people

Requirements

• Prior experience in a retail store or outside sales
• 2+ years of experience in a customer-focused role
• Ability to perform in a quota-driven environment
• Basic selling skills, including sales-call preparation, customer-meeting management, handling customer resistance, closing sales, and account maintenance
• Capability to present information in group meetings
• Valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 4 years required
• Agility to bend to floor-level shelves and reach upper shelves up to eight feet using a stool or ladder when necessary
• Stamina to stand and walk for the entire work shift
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs of merchandise
• Clear speaking and attentive listening skills
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Background in the automotive industry preferred
