Job summary

Tejas Equipment Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow our Alvarado branch's customer base. This role focuses on building real relationships with contractors and earning their trust through consistent on-site interactions.

You will develop a territory, prospect new business, maintain existing accounts, and collaborate with the branch team to ensure smooth delivery, service, and billing. Weekend work is not required, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Outside sales experience, preferably in equipment rental or construction.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; travels daily.
• Strong communication and the confidence to engage customers on job sites.
• Self-motivated, organized, able to manage own schedule and territory.
• Familiar with CRM software and everyday technology.
• Resilient with solid follow-through to keep opportunities active.

Tejas Equipment Rentals is a family-owned equipment rental company serving construction customers across Texas. We're looking for an Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base out of our Alvarado branch - someone who builds real relationships, knows how to earn a contractor's trust, and follows through.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage a territory of construction and industrial accounts in the Alvarado area
• Prospect new business through jobsite visits, cold calls, and referrals
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular in-person contact
• Match customers with the right equipment for their projects and prepare rental quotes
• Partner with the branch team to ensure smooth delivery, service, and billing for your accounts
• Track leads, activity, and opportunities in our CRM
• Stay current on our fleet, rates, and the local construction market

What We're Looking For

• Proven outside or sales experience; equipment rental or construction industry experience is a strong plus
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record - this role is on the road daily
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to walk onto a jobsite and start a conversation
• Self-motivated and organized; you manage your own schedule and territory
• Comfortable with CRM software and everyday technology
• Resilience and follow-through - you stay on top of leads and don't let opportunities slip
