Job summary

CRH is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in the Elgin/Lombard area to develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, deliver quality proposals, and exceed sales targets. The hybrid role requires ~50% travel and strong knowledge of precast concrete products within Oldcastle Infrastructure.

The position includes a base salary of $85,000–$95,000 with a 25% incentive bonus, two weeks of vacation, 401k, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to travel approximately 50%+ throughout the sales region.
• Proficient in basic Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
• Demonstrate strong business acumen in sales and marketing for civil infrastructure markets.

Responsibilities

• Become the Subject Matter Expert on all Oldcastle Infrastructure precast concrete products.
• Deliver top level service and communication internally and externally.
• Prospect opportunities and markets and market products within core markets.
• Identify and bid projects within assigned marketing area and participate in bid strategy development.
• Utilize Salesforce, Office Suite, and SharePoint to manage prospects and quotes.
• Meet specific sales volumes and profit margin goals.
• Coordinate with Estimating, Project Leads, Operations, Transportation, and Accounting for customer service excellence.
• Collaborate with the broader Oldcastle Commercial team to leverage product portfolio.
