As an Outside Sales Manager, you will drive sales within your territory and lead Account Managers to meet or exceed sales goals. You will travel extensively within your assigned geographic area to work with your team and directly call on accounts. This position is remote but requires residence in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Southern Michigan.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales and profit margin targets.
  • Develop and implement sales programs focused on profitability.
  • Forecast sales and profits, and evaluate performance regularly.
  • Create strategic sales plans to expand sales volume and profitability.
  • Conduct sales calls to secure business and improve profitability.
  • Train, coach, and mentor territory managers.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager on pricing, customer service, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Understand competitors and position our offerings effectively.
  • Build credibility and trust through excellent customer service.
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and foster a customer-centric culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as business needs change.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years leading and managing an outside sales team.
  • Experience in developing profitable sales programs in various market environments.
  • Professional and leadership-oriented image.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Assertive, competitive, and goal-oriented attitude.
  • Willing to travel up to 75%.
