Job summary

United Central Industrial Supply, a SunSource company, seeks an energetic Account Manager to drive field/outside sales in the Shinnston, WV area. You will promote industrial supplies, engage core accounts, and target mine-related customers.

Overnight travel may be required, with a focus on strong relationship-building and account growth. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, 1+ years in outside sales, and the ability to learn CRM and MS Office.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in business, marketing, sales, mechanical, engineering or similar.
• 1+ years of industrial outside sales experience required with track record of sales progress.
• Experience selling hydraulic hose/fittings, industrial hose, safety and MRO products is a plus.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills; valid driver's license; ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Plan market and research opportunities for core and target accounts in the territory.
• Promote product lines with branch managers and company personnel across the territory.
• Develop action plans to capture major share of core/target business.
• Visit customer sites daily; take orders, identify needs, and foster mine-level relationships.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control on stock levels and obsolete inventory.

We are currently seeking an energetic and self-driven Account Manager (Field / Outside Sales) to promote and facilitate the sale of industrial supplies to core and target accounts within the Shinnston, WV metropolitan area.

Experience, Education And Skills

• HS Diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree preferred with preference given to business, marketing, sales, mechanical, engineering or similar field of study
• 1+ years of industrial outside sales experience is required
• Previous sales experience in any of the following product types is preferred: hydraulic hose and fittings, industrial hose, safety products including gas detection, breathing apparatus and safety MRO. Other products include general MRO, lubricants, filtration electrical products, wire and cable and communication products
• Experience selling into mining customers is a great plus!
• Track record of progressive sales accomplishments
• Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn and effectively use a CRM
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Overnight travel may be required

Essential Functions

• Market planning and research to determine the opportunities available with the core and target accounts within each territory
• Work with branch managers and associated Company personnel to promote the various product lines to the core and target accounts within each territory
• Develop action plans for each territory to capture a major share of the core and target business.
• Call upon and visit customer sites on a daily basis to ascertain customer needs, take orders, promote current and new product offerings and foster good relationships with mine-level personnel.
• Work with Inventory Control regarding stock levels, obsolete inventory, etc
