Job summary

Uniti’s Kinetic unit seeks an Outside Plant Engineer to connect customers to premier telecommunications products nationwide. You will analyze data and engineer outside plant facilities using copper, fiber, and electronics, with most work in the field and some in the office.

Required are a engineering degree and 2–4 years of related experience or equivalent. Ability to travel up to 25% is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering or related field; 2–4 years pro experience or 6+ years in related roles.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work in field environments.
• Experience with design tools and telco outside plant concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engineer/design outside plant facilities including fiber and copper.
• Plan, analyze, and design outside plant network structures and facilities.
• Coordinate development, construction, and maintenance of OSP projects.
• Communicate clearly to build productive relations and drive projects to completion.
• Perform field-heavy work: approx. 70% in the field, 30% in the office.
