Job summary

Uniti Fiber Outside Plant Engineer will design and engineer outside plant facilities including fiber and copper, solving complex problems for our customers and building lasting relationships.

You will analyze data, communicate clearly with teammates, and manage projects end‑to‑end, spending about 70% of time in the field and 30% in the office, with up to 25% travel to support markets. Experience with CAD/E, MicroStation, AutoCAD or similar design tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Engineer/design outside plant facilities including fiber and copper.
• Plan, analyze, design and engineer outside plant network structures and facilities.
• Organize complex activities for development, construction, implementation, and maintenance of outside plant engineering projects.
• Communicate to maintain productive working relationships and drive projects to completion.
• Design projects to ensure cost‑effective use of materials and labor.
• Perform administrative work related to projects.
• Assess situations, identify issues, and solve complex problems.
• Work 70% in the field and 30% in the office.
