Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. through its Kinetic unit seeks an Outside Plant Engineer to design fiber and copper networks, analyze and engineer outside plant facilities, and manage project development from conception to completion.

The role emphasizes field- and office-based work with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and requires travel up to 25% of the time to support diverse markets.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering or a related field and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• Ability to travel overnight and up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Engineer/design outside plant facilities including fiber and copper.
• Assist in planning, analysis, design and engineering of outside plant network structures.
• Organize complex activities for development, construction, and maintenance of projects.
• Communicate effectively to build positive working relationships and drive projects to completion.
• Design projects to ensure cost-effective materials and labor utilization.
• Perform administrative work relating to projects and assignments.
• Field work 70% and office work 30% on average (varies by market).
