Job summary

Uniti is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to design and engineer fiber and copper networks across the United States, with primary work in Concord or Matthews, NC. The role involves field work and coordination with internal teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.

The position requires a college degree in Engineering or related field or substantial equivalent experience, and the ability to travel up to 25% while working in a self-directed, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering or a related field; or 6+ years of engineering/technical experience.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Engineer/design outside plant facilities including fiber and copper.
• Assist in planning, analysis, design and engineering of network structures and facilities.
• Organize complex activities for development, construction, implementation, and maintenance of outside plant projects.
• Communicate to establish and maintain productive relationships and drive projects to completion.
• Travel up to 25% of the time; 70% field work, 30% office; primary location NC.
