Job summary

Albuquerque Public Schools seeks a Parts Outside Sales Representative to grow classroom parts sales by taking and clarifying orders, locating parts, and processing purchases in the sales/inventory system.

You will handle returns, credits, and re-stocking, while advising customers on product availability, uses, and credit terms. The role requires driving safety, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years dealership parts experience.
• Data entry skills, telephone skills, customer focus, customer service, verbal communication, product knowledge.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as work well with people.
• Valid Drivers License required.

Responsibilities

• Completes sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system; obtaining payment; adding purchase to credit account; issuing sales receipts.
• Maintains parts inventory by verifying supplies; placing orders when order-points are reached.
• Answer customers questions about products, prices, availability, product uses and credit terms.
• Recommend solutions to customer needs, based on customer interests.
• Receives returned items: inspecting items, returning payment, issuing credit, re-packing and re-shelving items and returning damaged items to supplier.
• Other duties assigned by manager.
