Job summary

Sysco Corporation in Jackson, MS is seeking an experienced outside sales professional to promote our products and services, build relationships with new and existing accounts, and help customers succeed while meeting company sales and profit goals.

The role may require non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs. You will develop new business, service accounts, and provide training while collaborating with finance on collections and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent relatable experience) in business, sales, marketing, hospitality or related discipline.
• 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience or equivalent.
• Bi-Lingual is a preferred qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth.
• Qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
• Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet needs.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products based on business needs and goals.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
• Collaborate with credit to collect balances due and manage accounts receivable as needed.
• Prepare sales budgets and reports, maintain records, and issue quotes.
