Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative to cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions in Clemson, SC. You will visit customers regularly, research industry trends, and present strategies to grow sales.

The role includes training within Gordon Food Service’s systems and processes, with opportunities for commission and performance bonuses. A valid driver’s license and food safety certification are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or culinary certificate preferred.
• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Pursuing new customers: research industry trends, identify prospective customers, and develop sales strategies to present Gordon Food Service offerings.
• Deepen and strengthen existing customer relationships: visit customers regularly, conduct business reviews, provide product training, and identify growth opportunities.
• Sales territory management: balance new customers with existing relationships and coordinate visits.
• Sales training: participate in 90-day onboarding including e-learning, classroom sessions, roleplays, and mentorship.
