Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative to cultivate relationships, develop new business, and manage a defined territory in Clemson, SC. You will drive sales through proactive prospecting, presentations, and value-based solutions.

Responsibilities include visiting customers regularly, conducting reviews, training clients on product offerings, and coordinating visits to balance new acquisitions with growing existing accounts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain your food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Pursuing New Customers: research trends, identify prospects, and present sales strategies to prospective customers.
• Deepen and strengthen existing customer relationships: visit customers regularly, review needs, train on products, identify growth opportunities.
• Sales Territory Management: balance new customer acquisition with strengthening relationships and coordinate visits and order updates.
