Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an Outside Counsel Guidelines Attorney to support risk management by overseeing engagement terms and OCGs. This role collaborates with the Office of General Counsel and internal stakeholders to review, negotiate, and finalize terms.

Ideal candidates will have an active law license in good standing, 2+ years in a law firm or in-house setting, and familiarity with Intapp Terms. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement across U.S. offices.

Qualifications

• JD required and licensed to practice in state where role is located.
• 2+ years’ experience in a law firm or in-house legal department preferred.
• Experience reviewing engagement terms and outside counsel guidelines (OCGs) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial review of OCGs and engagement terms with General Counsel and New Business Intake teams.
• Identify terms requiring negotiation and propose modifications.
• Coordinate feedback across Finance, IT, Data Privacy, HR and other stakeholders to finalize terms.
