Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our outreach laboratory team. You will independently collect blood specimens from newborn to adult patients, ensure proper labeling, and support timely testing in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Shift is 1:30 PM–10:00 PM with every other weekend and holiday rotation; on-call rotation for 3rd shift. Requires high school graduate, valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and ensure safety.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from patients of all ages.
• Label and prepare specimens for testing; ensure proper identification.
• Enter and verify test requests in the computer system.
• Assist with inventory and supplies; train staff.
• Provide instruction on phlebotomy and processing.
• Maintain quality assurance documentation.
