Job summary

The University of Nebraska at Kearney seeks a coordinator to drive CAS Career Academies and STEM outreach, coordinating recruitment, events, and partnerships with K-12 schools, alumni, and faculty. The role supports enrollment and retention goals while serving as the primary contact for students and families.

Responsibilities include planning activities, organizing materials, guiding career exploration experiences on and off campus, and partnering with UNK's engineering programs to advise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications or CAS disciplines as listed in the job posting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in youth programs, events, or activities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record to transport students.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with faculty, staff, students and partners.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM/database tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities, events, and communications for CAS Career Academies and outreach.
• Develop content and strategies to attract undergraduates to CAS academies and coordinate recruitment events.
• Manage logistics for on- and off-campus career exploration experiences, including transport as needed.
• Lead or co-facilitate academy activities and accompany students to off-campus experiences.
• Maintain records, track participation, and prepare program reports.
• Counsel prospective engineering students and parents about admissions and programs.
• Support engineering foundations and internship opportunities with community partners.
• Represent CAS at alumni events and regional recruitment fairs; identify new partnerships.
