Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health seeks a Substance Use Disorder Professional/ Trainee to conduct case management and patient assessments under supervision. The role involves documentation of DSM-5 and ASAM PPC2 guidelines, and coordinating treatment with the clinical team.

The position includes conducting individual, group, and family sessions, with supervision for session delivery and treatment planning. This role supports regulatory compliance and client care in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Active SUDP/SUDPT credential with no enforcements.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Dual MH/SUDP credential is a plus; LMHCA/LICSWA hours may be provided.
• Interest in, or current knowledge of TMS treatment for depression.
• Have no prohibition from contracting with governmental agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical dependency assessments and intakes documenting DSM-5 and ASAM PPC2.
• Use ASAM PPC2 for continuing treatment review and discharge.
• Conduct individual, group, and family sessions under supervision.
• Work with supervisor on action plans to meet regulatory requirements.
• Case management duties: charting, treatment planning/revisions, monthly status reporting, correspondence, file maintenance, consent forms, demographics log, dates of service.
• Consult with other clinical staff as needed for the patient’s treatment.
• Coordinate scheduling with Admin/PC staff and update treatment financials.
