Job summary

Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care in Auburn, WA is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional/Trainee to provide SUD assessments, individual and group services, crisis support, and relapse prevention. You will support clients with co-occurring disorders and collaborate with the treatment team to promote recovery goals.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires an AA in Behavioral Sciences (BA preferred), a Washington SUD Professional/Trainee certification, a valid driver’s license, and

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Behavioral Sciences Field (BA preferred)
• Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional/Trainee Certification required
• Current Driver’s License
• Pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Orients and educates clients and families; collaborates on recovery plan; provides information on treatments and meds.
• Assists SUD with group planning and facilitation; provides assessments and individual services.
• Provides Crisis Management Services.
• Participates in QI activities and committees.
• Performs real-world problem solving in office and community settings to engage clients in services.
• Advocates for clients with community, family, providers, landlords, etc.
