BayCare is seeking an Outpatient Speech Therapist (Pool/PRN) at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. The role focuses on evaluating and treating speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient clinic.

The candidate must hold CCC-SLP, SLP license, and BLS, with a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Prior clinical experience is preferred; a Doctorate is welcome.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP credential required or eligible.
• BLS certification required.
• Speech Therapy License required for practice.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• At least 1 year of clinical related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide speech therapy sessions in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records per HIPAA and clinic standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational, physical therapists, and other team members for coordinated care.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family on therapy goals and strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to rehab program development.
• Stay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology.

Outpatient Speech Therapist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall development of the rehabilitation program
• Stay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology

Requirements:

• CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Speech Therapy License
• Required Master's Speech Therapy
• Preferred Doctorate Speech Therapy
• 1 year Clinical Related is preferred
