Job summary

BayCare Alliant Hospital in Dunedin, FL is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services to medically complex patients in an LTACH setting. The role focuses on evaluation and treatment of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, with collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team.

You will evaluate and treat, document progress, participate in rounds, and educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Speech therapy license required.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.

This role focuses on evaluation and treatment of patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, requiring strong clinical judgment and collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team.

Acute Care Speech Therapist Pool Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Speech Therapy License

• 1 year Clinical Related is preferred
