Job summary

BayCare Health System’s Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join our acute care rehabilitation team. You will evaluate and treat adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

The role requires CCC-SLP, BLS, a valid Speech Therapy License, and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred. Shifts vary, up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification required.
• BLS basic life support certification required.
• Speech Therapy License valid.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab staff to coordinate care.
• Document progress, plans, and outcomes according to standards.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and swallowing safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.

Morton Plant Hospital , part of the BayCare Health System , is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our acute care rehabilitation team. This role provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to adult patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders resulting from stroke, neurological conditions, trauma, or other medical complexities.

Acute Care Speech Therapist Pool Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.
