Job summary

BayCare Health System, a leading healthcare employer in Florida, is seeking a PRN/Pool Occupational Therapist for South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City. This pool role supports patient rehabilitation across the hospital with flexible shifts, typically 8:00 a.m.

– 5:00 p.m., on-site, with occasional weekend coverage. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement OT plans, collaborate with a rehab team, document progress, and educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• OT license or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• 1 year of OT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to support recovery and independence in daily living.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehab professionals for coordinated care.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per hospital standards.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and discharge planning.

Occupational Therapist Pool Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to support recovery and improve independence in activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehab professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and discharge planning.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• OT (Occupational Therapy)
• Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
• Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy
• Preferred 1-year Occupational Therapy
