Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an organized scheduling and registration associate to manage outpatient visits and procedures across multiple ambulatory clinics. You will collect necessary information, register patients, and coordinate follow-up appointments.

Responsibilities include checking in/out, obtaining guarantor information, collecting payments, communicating with staff, and ensuring orders exist.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients per scheduling/registration guidelines.
• Obtain and verify guarantor information at least once a year.
• Schedule and register patients based on guidelines and medical appropriateness.
• Ensure follow-up appointments and testing are coordinated on checkout.
• Collect payments and co-pays at check-in or check-out; reconcile cash drawer.
• Respond to patient and staff needs and complaints appropriately.
